  8. Hello, my name is Patricia, I am writing because my husband, after recovering well from multiple myeloma (he is still undergoing check-ups), has 7 crushed vertebrae (we believe it was an effect of the myeloma). They have only been able to perform kyphoplasty on 4 of them, but he is still in a lot of pain, especially when he walks and stands. The truth is that when he started with it, he couldn't even lie down, the pain was unbearable. He is on fentanyl patches and would like to be able to remove them but we haven't found anyone who can offer us a solution. He is 65 years old and if it weren't for the pain he is in, he would be quite well. He goes to the gym regularly to strengthen his muscles and does rehabilitation once a week. They believe that there may be a solution other than surgery. Many doctors have advised him that 7 vertebrae are too many to require plates and screws and they do not guarantee that it will take away his pain, and with how bad he has been through, he does not want to go through any more pain.
I would appreciate your honesty, even if it is harsh.
Thank you for your attention and greetings
